The
Bikes 'n Stuff - Past & Present
Page 2
After
the forced sale of my VFR800 because of health problems, I ended up with this
wee gem, it's lower and lighter than the Viffer so I have no problems riding it.

It must be June, because Dez has bought yet another bike, that makes a total of 4 now! This is a nice 'un though - an Aprilia RSV Mille. These shots were taken as soon as he arrived back after picking it up from down south, somewhere near Weymouth I think he said. It's a stunning looking thing, and it sounds fantastic with the twin Akrapovic exhausts. Between us all we now have a really eclectic mix of bikes......Mind you, Dez can manage that all by himself, at the last count he had the 2 Kawasakis - ZRX and the old Z750 plus hisCBR1000 and now this one. We're gonna start calling him "The Womble" soon if he doesn't stop hoarding stuff
Soooooooooo much better than
sex! That view actually gets me quite excited, I think I may have a
problem!
Although he's not a Wrinkly Person in the true sense, I promised my lad Ben a
little website spot to show off
his P&J, a lovely little Yamaha TRX 850 - 'tis indeed a nice little bike.
It's a parallel import registered in the UK
in 2000. The guy who owned it before did a fair bit of work on it, it's been
dynojetted, the front suspension has
been modified and it's got an R1 front brake conversion.......Nice!

Complete with John Smiths Top Box
This is the VFR that Wesley bought off
E.Bay "by mistake". Saw it there after a few beers, put a bid on and won
it for a ridiculously low price. Of course we
didn't have a clue what it was like 'til we
went all the way to Scotland to pick it up! Nice bike though, low
miles as well - all it needed was a bloody good clean and a bit of
TLC
............................................................To be continued -
probably!!
.........................18 months on and Wesley strikes again! Despite the fact he's still got the VFR which is now looking superb after a bit of spit and polish, another alcohol fueled visit to E.Bay and he's bid on this............and won it.
....................A 1992 Yamaha Diversion 600! Fortunately once again it's a good bike, but he' going to get stung one of these days. His long suffering missus has threatened to take the plug of his 'puter.
He had been looking for a bike to go to work on but, it was only the following morning when he'd sobered up that he realised there were two Diversions on E.Bay and he'd bid on the wrong one. It's quite normal for him though, he does do daft things - but we're used to him now!
September 2007
I've been thinking about a V.Max for some time now, and eventually bought this. Nice low mileage and in great nick. ....Makes an ideal partner for the FZX750, so I now have the "Baby V.Max and the "Daddy Max".

AND.........Breathe!...............As yet another bike falls into the Wrinkley fold this month! Below is Wesley's nice new Aprilia Pegaso, bought with just 280 miles on the clock. I've had a go of it and it's brilliant, super sharp handling and light as a feather. Single cylinder 660cc, with bags of torque for the engine size.....Loads o' fun !! He's sold his Yam Diversion 600, but he's still got theVFR750.
Spot the milk theme?
Wesley's first VFR had the reg CDM ..."Cadbury's Dairy Milk!!"
6 months on and Wesley's been sniffing the at bike catalogues again, this time he's gone back to the Guzzi stable and bought a veeeery nice V1200 sport. The little wee Pegaso has gone to make room for it, and it's arrived just in time for our run to Portugal in a few days time

We all knew he'd go back to
Moto Guzzi one day, he had a California a few years a go
that he loved to death
but this is a world apart - superb machine
And, my turn again. I discovered that having two naked bikes was pointless so the FZX has been sold on and replaced with a lovely little Honda VFR750. This is one of the very last iconic 750s to be made before they went to the VFR800Fi models. I got this one quite cheap off E.Bay (been hanging round with Wesley for far too long!). 28k miles with a pretty full service history and a lovely thing to ride. Some more photos here of it as it undergoes a transformation back to original spec
