Summer 2010 Bike Tour, Canada
In July 2010 my lad Ben and me are off to explore a bit of British Columbia and Alberta in Canada on a pair of motorbikes. Everything is now organised - flights, bike hire & hotels etc. The plan is to ride across the southern part of B.C and into Alberta at Banff and from there ride the Ice Fields Parkway which runs north through the Rocky Mountains (Banff and Jasper National Parks) up to Jasper
The route we'll be taking starts in Vancouver where we pick up the hire bikes. From there we'll begin what will be a circular tour with night stops at: Kelowna (B&B), Kaslo (hotel), Kimberley (hotel), Banff (two nights in a cabin), Jasper (B&B), Clearwater (motel), & finally Pemberton (B&B) before riding back to Vancouver to spend a few days in a hotel. We'll be averaging a leisurely 200 miles a day over the whole trip and we may even find some time to pop over the border into the 'States if we're allowed to take the hire bikes out of Canada. On a map the route looks like this........

The Ice Fields Parkway Alberta

Regarded by many as one of the most
scenic roads in the world to ride on a motorbike

Our bikes will hopefully have
engines!
